Wuzhou is an important trade and shipping center on the Guangxi-Guangdong border. The city has a variety of light and heavy industries, including textile mills, food-processing factories, and chemical plants. Generally speaking, the port’s total export value accounts one forth to one-third of that of Guangxi.
